2014

I can not believe that it is here already.
Well it has been a crazy holiday season for my family.
My goal for this year is to blog more consistently.
Let's see if I can stay on track.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year!

On with some of the things I have been working on.

First up is a baby shower invite I designed in December.

The white area was printed with date and location.

Next up is a baby shower card I designed with some of my stamping sisters.

This card was so fun to make.
This is going to be a baby shower for a women having twins. What a blessing!

Here is what I decided for the inside.
A simple sentiment and room for a signature.
I love how the card opens and the girl and boy help keep this card closed.

Masculine Birthday Card

This was a card that I worked on with a customer for a family members Birthday. I can not tell you who because it will give it away.

We started with a card base of Not Quit Navy (retired), added a designer serious paper layer, and another layer of Not Quit Navy.  We took some glossy paper and using a brayer we added ink colors Pool Party, Marina Mist and Tempting Turquoises to make the water. For the sky we used ink colors Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush and Midnight Muse. With the background done we took staz-on and stamped the sail boat. Took a gel pen and added accents to the water. Before we added it to the card we put antique brads in the four corners.

With the inside we took and stamped a greeting on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock, distressed the edges with a distressing tool. Sponged Midnight Muse on the edges and adhered to the inside of the card. To finish off the card we added a Whisper White piece of card stock and stamped and anchor from stamp set Open Sea.

I am so happy with how this turned out.

This is a card I cased form Joyce Wiler.
I thought this is a great teen card idea.
Here is how I made it my own.
