A New Year...A New Start

So the thing I love most about working for myself is that I can take a season and be quiet. I know this is not always good for business but it is good for ones well-being. In this last season I have barely created anything but I am back on the creating mode. Being a homeschool mom is is a challenge to me at times. The need to make sure the children are together and on track can be a large demand but with God as my driver we are moving forward. I pray this year you are able to stay the direction that has been placed before you. I can not promise that things will not come up and we may loose our focus for a second but keep the direction in front of you and I promise you will see it come to pass.

I can not believe that it is here already.

Well it has been a crazy holiday season for my family.

My goal for this year is to blog more consistently. 

Let's see if I can stay on track. 

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year!

On with some of the things I have been working on.

First up is a baby shower invite I designed in December.

The white area was printed with date and location.

Next up is a baby shower card I designed with some of my stamping sisters.

 

 This card was so fun to make.

This is going to be a baby shower for a women having twins. What a blessing!

 

Here is what I decided for the inside. 

A simple sentiment and room for a signature. 

I love how the card opens and the girl and boy help keep this card closed.

Stamping Peaches Challenge 013

So here is Our Challenge!  

SPC013 - COLOR CHALLENGE-

Gumball Green, Cajun Craze, and Early Espresso

Here is my design

This color challenge was a good one for me. Mixing these colors together took some thought.

So what I came up with was to take En Francais and stamp with Cajun Craze ink onto Cajun Craze paper. The paper doilies color was changed by using a Aqua Pen and Gumball Green ink. For the Center I used From My Heart Stamp set. To achieve This affect I clear embossed the image and did an emboss resist with Early Espresso. I hope you try this design. It is simple but so elegant.

November Card Class

I can not believe that it is time for Christmas cards!

Here is a set that I have been waiting to show you all for months. I had so much fun designing these cards. I hope you will be able to join us for this class.

Stamping Peaches Challenge 012

This challenge was so fun with this time of year. 
My good friend Shelly came up with our "Leaf" challenge. 

Here is my creation!

On Whisper White paper I sponged Mellow Mombo and Pacific Point. I took Versa Mark ink and stamped the Magnificent Maple Stamp from our holiday catalog and added Early Espresso embossing powder. After that I again added more Magnificent Maple stamps with Versa Mark and added clear embossing powder. To finish off I used a brayer and Gumball Green ink and covered the entire surface.   . 

I used the White Organza ribbon and layered the Wild Wasabi  stitched ribbon.
I added a button and a greeting.

In this photo you can see the newsprint paper from the Moho designer Series Paper. 

I sponged the paper with chocolate chip ink. I finished this card off by using a Mellow Mombo card base and sponged it with Pacific Point ink. 

I was so very happy how this card turned out.
 I hope this card inspires you!
